Features of the Scheme

In accordance with the policy of providing reservation to economically weaker sections and to establish necessary infrastructure in the concerned government medical colleges, the Central Government has announced a scheme titled “Upgradation of existing State/Central Government Medical Colleges to increase MBBS seats across the country.”

Eligibility Criteria

By analyzing the gap between the available and required number of existing faculty members, lecture halls, laboratories, hostels, staff quarters, and equipment in the institution for the proposed 50 MBBS seats per institution, the proposal submitted under this scheme should be within the amount of ₹60 crore per institution.
