Features of the Scheme
The National Program for Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Diseases and Stroke (NPCDCS) aims to reduce the burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in India through health promotion, early diagnosis, and effective treatment management.
Eligibility Criteria
It is necessary to upgrade the existing cancer hospital and establish a State Cancer Institute by analyzing the gap between the available and required infrastructure, equipment, and furniture. A detailed project report incorporating all these aspects must be submitted to the central government. Furthermore, after receiving approval for the proposal, a separate proposal for the required human resources must be submitted to the government.
