Haffkine Bio-Pharmaceutical Corporation Ltd.
The Government of Maharashtra has done an overall assessment of the operations of Haffkine Life Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Corporation with the aim of how the corporation will develop overall. R. A. A High Authority Committee was constituted under the Chairmanship of Mashelkar MEDD GR No. HNF2017/(CR.10/17Drugs- 1 dtd 6th June17.) The Committee has submitted the report and recommendations to the Government in April 2018 after making an overall assessment of the functioning of the Corporation. While submitting report and recommendations to Govt. taking into consideration the progress of the Corporation, the economic turnover, for the prosperity of the Corporation as a designated producer in the public sector and thus life-saving drugs, vaccines and anti-venoms will be available to the common people of the state and the country at a very reasonable price, the Corporation is capable of 5 to 5 projects based on some cutting-edge technology. For that, the government has recommended in this report to provide financial support. Following are the five major projects recommended by the High Power Committee headed by Dr. R. A. Mashatkar and the estimated amount of financial assistance.

Dated 24-08-2018 at Sahyadri Guest House organize meeting under chairmanship of Chief Minister amount of Rs.100 was approved to be given to Mahamadal in the form of financial assistance and capital. Equally assured that the government will provide all possible assistance to get funds from the central government. Similarly, the Maharashtra Government has approved in principle the proposal that the Corporation will stand as a guarantor for the financial assistance loan demand.
Out of the above mentioned 5 projects, it is proposed to undertake the Tetanus and Diphtheria Vaccine Manufacturing Project in the initial phase of the project of (DPT+HepB+Hib).
