Features of the Scheme
This scheme has been launched to develop a nationwide trauma care network and reduce preventable deaths caused by road accidents to 10 percent. Under this initiative, the aim is to ensure that no trauma patient needs to be transported more than 50 kilometers, and that a designated trauma center is available every 100 kilometers.
Eligibility Criteria
Specialists from the orthopedics department, pharmacology experts, nursing staff, and other essential personnel are required to initiate the trauma center for immediate treatment of trauma patients. It is necessary to analyze the gap between the existing and required infrastructure, equipment, and furniture of the proposed center and submit a proposal to the central government accordingly.
