Health Sector Stakeholder Consultation Workshop

As part of the ambitious Viksit Maharashtra 2047 initiative, the Medical Education and Drugs Department and the Public Health Department hosted a pivotal Health Sector Stakeholder Consultation Workshop on 24th June 2025, at the Manthan Conference Hall, GT Mantralaya, Mumbai.

The aim of this workshop was to bring together key stakeholders to collaboratively shape the future of Maharashtra’s health ecosystem. Several key members from various institutions and organizations attended the event. The focus was on four transformative thematic areas:

1. Health for All – Universal and Preventive Health Ecosystem
   Addressing accessibility, affordability, and citizen-centered care, with emphasis on NCDs, elderly care, AYUSH integration, and digital transformation.
2. Skilling, Research & Innovation – Medical Education and Talent Excellence
   Exploring strategies to expand medical education, foster global leadership, and promote innovative research.
3. Future-Ready Regulatory Ecosystem for Drugs
   Enhancing regulatory frameworks to support innovation, emerging technologies, and global competitiveness in pharma.
4. Illness to Wellness – Safe and Nutritious Food Ecosystem
   Strengthening food safety, nutrition security, and promoting mental and physical well-being through technology and global best practices.
